Artistic director of \u003cem\u003eFontana Arte\u003c\/em\u003e, he was also vice-president of the Society of Decorative Artists, vice-president of the Union of Art Glassmakers and Crystal Makers of France, and president of the Alumni of the National School of Decorative Arts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\"\u003eHe created the stained-glass windows for over two hundred religious buildings across France, making him one of the greatest master glassmakers of his time. He was made Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in 1957.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\"\u003eModel from the 2461 series, produced by \u003cem\u003eFontana Arte\u003c\/em\u003e in Italy in the 1960s. The wooden column is topped with a slab of cut glass featuring a floral motif, Ingrand's recognizable signature, glued directly onto the support. Four identical wooden handles, carved in relief, adorn the side faces.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\"\u003eGood state of preservation. A slight scratch on one corner, attenuated with wax in the workshop. Slight beginning of patina under the glass, not serious, which adds to the character of the piece.
