Armchair by designer Pierre Paulin

Artifort Edition - 70s.

Perfect vintage condition

History: At the request of Air France , Pierre Paulin created the F780 armchair to furnish the waiting rooms of the first classes of the Concorde.

The "Concorde" armchair resembles a fireside chair with a low seat and a slightly inclined wavy backrest. This designer seat rests on two legs in the shape of long skates or skis. The polished or lacquered aluminum base supports a plywood structure in the shape of two open hands joined at the level of their palms.
A latex foam padding covered with a removable fabric ensures the comfort of the passenger.
The absence of armrests makes it possible to create long benches, or waiting beams with several elements, once these "Concorde" armchairs are joined together.
