Milan, 1960s. Italian design of the decade loved cast resin blocks, combined with polished metal for a result both sculptural and functional. This square catchall tray is a typical example.

A solid block of amber resin with bevelled edges holds at its centre a round, slightly concave, mirror-finish chrome dish. The contrast between the warm, translucent tone of the resin and the cool shine of the polished metal is characteristic of Italian design of the period, between craftsmanship and industrial modernity.

Good used condition: a few surface micro-scratches on the resin and the polished metal, with no chips or cracks. The patina remains discreet and does not affect the piece.

At 17.5 cm square and 4 cm high, this catchall tray suits a desk, a console or a hall table. A dense, graphic object, to use as is or as a jewellery dish.

Material: resin and chrome-plated metal
Colour: amber resin, silver dish

Dimensions:
- Height: 4 cm
- Width: 17.5 cm

Condition: good used condition: a few surface micro-scratches on the resin and the polished metal dish, with no chips or cracks
