Designed in the 1960s, the "Badminton" chair illustrates the search for balance between structural lightness and comfort that characterises post-war Danish design.
Attributed to Nanna Ditzel and produced by Poul Kolds Savværk, this set of four chairs combines a moulded rosewood veneer shell with a chrome-plated steel frame. The slightly curved back and shaped seat show precise work in formed plywood. Stackable.
Very good overall condition. Lovely patina on the wood, with pronounced grain. Light signs of use consistent with the period. Sound, stable frames. New glides on every leg.
Dimensions: H 72 × W 52 × D 54 cm
A consistent set, suited to a dining table or a commercial project, in a contemporary or collector's interior.
