A piece that is as much a serving tray as a collector's object. The bowl is in patinated copper-toned metal — warm, burnt-orange tones, with variations of oxidation that give the inner surface a depth close to that of old leather.
The rim is ringed with polished brass, engraved all around with a regular diamond pattern. This detail, both decorative and structural, anchors the piece in 1960s Italian craftsmanship, when the finish of the edge was as carefully worked as the form itself. The underside has the same copper patina, with a regular domed silhouette.
No designer or manufacturer could be confirmed. Very good condition: even, aged patina, intact brass, no visible dents.
