Designed by Radboud van Beekum for Pastoe , this armchair rests on a cubic frame of matte gray lacquered steel. The tubular sections and cylindrical joints are intentionally visible. The seat and backrest are made of wide cognac leather straps stretched between the uprights. The leather forms a supple curve, suspended within the structure, offering straightforward and immediate comfort.
This pair has a beautiful patina. The cognac leather reveals natural nuances, slightly darker areas, and some visible signs of wear, consistent with age. The metal structure is stable, with minor surface marks that do not affect its sturdiness.
