Pair of "SZ14" armchairs in black leather by Walter Antonis for Spectrum 60's

This pair comes from a Dutch convent, a communal use that explains the sturdiness of the base and the sobriety of the design. Walter Antonis designed the SZ14 for Spectrum: chrome tubular frame, seat and back in stretched strap-like leather, fixed with cylindrical end caps that are the model's signature. This construction, economical in material and directly inspired by 1930s tubular furniture, gives a supple seat without upholstered padding.

The leather shows some signs of use, deliberately left visible: many collectors prefer this patina to systematic restoration. The most visible marks can easily be treated with black polish for anyone who wishes to even out the colour.

Dimensions: H 67 x W 68 x D 74 cm.

A rare pair in this complete configuration: two identical examples from the same place are rarely found together. Place them facing each other, or side by side to form a small occasional bench.

Material: metal and leather
Colour: grey and black

Dimensions:
- Height: 67 cm
- Width: 68 cm
- Depth: 74 cm

Condition: well preserved.
