In the 1960s, Dutch design moved towards clean lines and visible construction, where structure is an integral part of the aesthetic. Kho Liang Ie, a major figure of Dutch design of the period, developed rigorous seating for Artifort, between industrial rigour and comfort.

Bench by Kho Liang Ie for Artifort, circa 1960. Original chrome-plated steel frame, sled base. The upholstery has been fully redone: new foam, new mustard velvet, buttoned seat and back cushions. The original base has been kept; only the upholstery has been renewed.

Good overall condition. Chrome frame with some pitting, new velvet and foam.

Dimensions: length 190 cm, height 69 cm, depth 82 cm.

A bench for an entrance, a corridor or a reception area, for its structural presence as much as for its renewed comfort.

Material: wood and steel
Colour: black and grey

Dimensions:

- Height: 69 cm
- Depth: 82 cm
- Length: 190 cm

Condition: good vintage condition.
