This iconic armchair is the F675 “Butterfly” model , a major creation by French designer Pierre Paulin for Dutch manufacturer Artifort , designed in the 1960s. Made here in patinated cognac leather , stretched over a geometric chrome tubular structure , it perfectly embodies the formal audacity and the search for comfort specific to modernist design of the time.

With its taut lines and suspended seat, the F675 offers a feeling of lightness and enveloping comfort. The leather, original and carefully nourished in the workshop , has a unique patina that bears witness to the passage of time while magnifying the raw and elegant character of the piece. Its minimalist metal structure , cross-shaped and without superfluity, gives it a sculptural and airy silhouette.

The armchair has balanced proportions (height: 68 cm , width: 81 cm , depth: 64 cm ) and rests on an iconic graphic base, Paulin's signature. This piece is a first hand , having crossed the decades within the same family in Amsterdam , which reinforces its historical and emotional value.

Now unobtainable in production, as Artifort no longer produces this model, this F675 is a true collector's item , intended for 20th century design enthusiasts and enlightened fans of the work of Pierre Paulin .
