The sommerso technique, widely used in Murano in the second half of the 20th century, consists of layering several coats of coloured glass. Here, a gradient runs from turquoise blue at the top to an almost black midnight blue at the base.
Thick blown glass, generous ovoid shape, narrowed neck and clean opening. The clear glass foot reveals the thickness of the material.
From a private collection in Brescia, Italy.
Perfect condition.
Dimensions: 30 cm high, 15 cm wide.
A piece with character to place on the floor or on a low cabinet, on its own or with a tall branch.
