In the 1960s, the Dutch manufacturer Pastoe, in collaboration with Cees Braakman, developed a series of home furniture based on clear principles: constructive rigor, noble materials, and integrated functionality. The SM08 model illustrates this approach: an extendable dining table whose minimalist lines conceal a real care in execution.

Chromed metal structure with four slender tubular legs. Solid rosewood top and apron, with integrated central sliding extension — the mechanism deploys by separating the two half-tops, revealing the metal slides. The wood displays a pronounced and warm grain, consistent with the age of the piece.

The overall condition is good. Light signs of use on the top and apron, uniform patina throughout. Functional extension mechanism.

Closed dimensions: H 72 × L 132 × D 89 cm. Open dimensions: L 188 cm.

Works equally well as an everyday dining table or a large desk. The extension allows seating for 6 to 8 people as needed.
