20th-century design vases: Murano glass, ceramic and metal

The vase is one of the objects through which 20th-century Italian design expressed itself most. On the island of Murano, glassworks such as Seguso and Salviati reinvented blown-glass techniques, from bullicante to sommerso. In ceramics, houses such as Sicart developed glazes and textures that collectors love today.

Our selection brings together vases in Murano glass, ceramic, aluminium or brass, mostly Italian, from the 1960s to the 1980s: one-off pieces, pairs and sets, chosen for their shape and colour.

Pair them with our collectible objects, our ashtrays and our catchall trays, or with a console from the same period.
