A wide, perfectly square brass plate with thin, sharp edges is pressed at its centre into a shallow round bowl whose rim stands out in relief. The circle inscribed in the square makes a simple, strong form that the light enlivens depending on the angle. No decoration, no visible signature: geometry and material alone make the piece.
Good used condition: the unvarnished brass has an old, nuanced patina, with small spots of oxidation and fine surface scratches. The darker underside shows some signs of ageing. No warping.
