In the 1980s, Murano glassworks developed pieces with free forms, playing on asymmetry and material effects. Striated opaline glass, mixing white and aqua green, became a signature of this Italian decorative production.
Murano glass vide-poche, circa 1980. Elongated and asymmetrical shape, with an organic appearance, reminiscent of a wave or a shell. White opaline glass striated with aqua green, worked in continuous striations that highlight the movement of the form. Thick and rounded edge, slightly flared base. Hand-blown piece, Italian craftsmanship.
Good overall condition. Some micro-scratches from use on the interior, consistent with age and use. No chips or cracks.
Dimensions: length 40 cm, width 22 cm, height 14.5 cm.
To be placed on a console, sideboard, or coffee table, for keys, jewelry, or small objects. Also works as a standalone sculptural object.
