The thick, perfectly clear lucite block is cut into an octagon with bevelled edges that catch the light like the facets of a stone. At the centre, a round chrome dish edged with a fine gold line is set into the plexiglass, its mirrored dome reflecting the silhouette of the piece.
Good used condition: the lucite is clear and the metal dish keeps its shine. A few scratches remain underneath from use, but nothing that really spoils the charm of the object.
At 16 cm across and 4.5 cm high, this catchall tray sits on a console, a desk or a hall table, for keys, jewellery or coins. A sober, graphic object of great purity.
