France, 1960s. Brown grained leather, combined with a saddlery-style gilt bit, is an aesthetic vocabulary that French leather goods raised to an art de vivre at the time. This box is an elegant illustration, in the style of Hermès.

The cognac grained-leather body is encircled by a woven strap with green, beige and burgundy stripes, closed by a gilt bit in the manner of equestrian harness. The inside, lined in red leather, bears the gilt stamp "SEITA - Régie Française" — the French tobacco authority, which offered this kind of fine boxes.

Good overall condition: the outer leather keeps its grain and colour, the woven strap is intact and the gilt bit keeps its shine.

At 16.5 cm long, 12.5 cm wide and 3.5 cm high, this box finds its place on a desk or a console, for mail or small objects. A chic object with an equestrian spirit and a very French elegance.

Material: grained leather and brass (bit)
Colour: cognac brown, gold

Dimensions:
- Height: 3.5 cm
- Width: 12.5 cm
- Length: 16.5 cm
