This box fits into this tradition: square silver-plated metal structure, lid decorated with a strap and buckle pattern in relief, sober and precise geometric treatment.
The interior is compartmentalized into three distinct spaces, lined with raw wood. The hinge is sturdy, and the lid opens flat. Italian manufacture, circa 1950-1960. Designer and publisher unidentified — the formal vocabulary is reminiscent of Milanese metalwork productions from this period.
Good overall condition. The patina on the silver-plated metal is pronounced and even, with visible golden areas on the sides, indicative of the underlying brass. Slight signs of wear on the edges. Wooden interior in good condition, no damage.
