Italian rectangular box, circa 1940. Silver structure (no visible hallmarks), entirely covered with iridescent natural mother-of-pearl inlays. The hinged lid reveals a simple and functional wooden interior. The construction testifies to precise craftsmanship, with each mother-of-pearl plate individually fitted.
Condition consistent with age. The silver has a uniform patina, with some light marks. Clean interior. Some micro-wear on the corners, without affecting the overall appearance.
