In 1970s Italy, the sofa became a testing ground for formal experimentation. Volumes became more rounded, metal frames remained exposed, and seating prioritized generous comfort. This model is a good example, with its low silhouette and tubular cushions resting on a chromed metal frame.
Exposed metal frame, generously padded seat and back. Recently reupholstered in a beautiful caramel brown velvet. The work was carried out by an experienced upholsterer: clean lines, precise fabric tension, and meticulous finishing.
The original frame is in very good condition for its age. The chrome has a light patina, consistent with a piece from this period. The new upholstery provides comfort and makes the design clearer.
Dimensions: 215 cm long, 78 cm deep, 75 cm high.
An interesting piece for a contemporary interior or a collection focused on Italian design from the 70s. Works equally well in a living room, gallery space, or reception area.
