In the mid-1960s, the German manufacturer COR developed a line of modular seating designed for the flexibility of contemporary interiors. The "Concha" model, designed by Jo Otterpohl, is one of its most successful expressions: a white lacquered plastic shell structure, placed on spherical chrome glides, accommodating generous padding upholstered in corduroy.
This set consists of three identical modules, which can be combined as a sofa or arranged separately. The white shell, with its rounded corners, contrasts with the deep brown, ribbed, original velvet. The padding has a pronounced curve on the seat and back, characteristic of Otterpohl's work on volume. The spherical chrome glides are in their original condition, consistent with the age of the piece.
Overall condition very good. Original velvet is uniform, with no snags or localized wear. White shell shows slight signs of use. Chrome glides are stable.
Each module: H 72 cm × W 73 cm × D 84 cm. In 3-seater sofa configuration: approximately 220 cm in length.
