In 1969, Angelo Mangiarotti designed the "Lesbo" lamp for Artemide, named after the Greek island and its glassmaking tradition. This piece is part of the Italian research of that period into blown glass as a unique structural material: here, the body and diffuser are one, without visible welds or joins in the glass.

The shape consists of an opalescent cylinder that flares into a wide, flattened shade with thin, slightly wavy edges — the mouth-blown glass exhibits the slight irregularities characteristic of artisanal work. The transition between the opaque body and the translucent edge creates, when lit, a luminous gradient that is dense at the center and more diffused at the periphery. The base is made of brushed aluminum. Original cable present.

Overall condition very good. Glass intact, no chips or cracks. Aluminum base with slight signs of use. Works.
