An emblematic vintage design object of the 1970s, this table lamp belongs to the history of European industrial design. It illustrates a functional, precise approach, now sought after among 20th-century collectibles.
Designed by André Ricard for Metalarte in 1973, the lamp combines a chrome-plated steel frame with a double shade in aluminium and clear PVC. Its adjustable system allows precise control of the light. Its industrial manufacture reflects the know-how of the Spanish manufacturer, known for pieces that are both technical and accessible. It fits into a contemporary interior as well as into a selection of design furniture, as a decorative object or a vintage desk lamp.
The frame has been restored and is ready for a new life. Light signs of use remain, consistent with its age. The piece keeps a fine presence, with an almost new patina that reinforces its authenticity (the metal is not pitted).
Its proportions — 48 cm high and 34 cm wide — give a visual balance suited to a desk or a console.
A piece for a collection or for everyday use, also available for design furniture rental.
