In 1955, Poul Kjærholm designed the PK22, an iconic armchair of Danish minimalism: a flat steel structure, stripped to the extreme, supporting a suspended seat in stretched leather. Produced from 1956 by E. Kold Christensen, the model became a benchmark in post-war Scandinavian design, praised for the purity of its lines and the precision of its execution.
