This elegant pair of armchairs embodies the Dutch modernist aesthetic of the 1960s, directly inspired by the work of Martin Visser for the manufacturer Spectrum. The design is distinguished by a great formal restraint, typical of Dutch design of the period: fine lines, a light structure, and perfectly balanced proportions.

The structure rests on a tubular metal base with straight, minimalist lines, supporting a black leather seat and backrest. The wooden armrests provide a warm contrast to the starkness of the metal and emphasize the purity of the design.

Each armchair retains its original upholstery, in excellent condition, with the leather holding its shape beautifully and a patina consistent with the age of the piece. The wooden armrests have recently been treated to revive their color and restore their luster while respecting their original character.

Sourced in the southern Netherlands, this pair testifies to the lasting influence of the work of Martin Visser and post-war Dutch modernist design.

Each armchair measures 77 cm in height, 61 cm in width and 55 cm in depth .

Excellent overall condition, stable structure, well-preserved leather, and carefully restored wood. A beautiful pair that is both stylish, comfortable, and timeless.
