In the 1960s, Dutch design broke free from straight lines. Just Meijer imagined for the manufacturer Kembo a sculptural seat carried by a chrome-plated steel cantilever frame, the technical signature of this generation, direct heir to Paulin's and Panton's research into continuous form.

The moulded foam shell traces an open line at the back, between armrest and backrest. It rests on a two-upright chrome base, with no visible rear crossbar, for an effect of optical lightness. The mustard-yellow bouclé fabric, true to the original spirit, emphasises the volume rather than hiding it.

Original condition, stable frame, bright chrome. The fabric, in good overall condition, shows the natural patina of careful use, nothing that disturbs the reading of the form.
