In 1960s Italy, the dialogue between glass and metal became a true field of experimentation. This purple Murano glass vase, in the spirit of Arnolfo di Cambio's productions, illustrates this quest for balance between formal purity and richness of materials.

The blown glass cylinder, in a subtly nuanced purple, is set in a pewter mount with sculptural lines. Cut and curved, this structure partially envelops the glass and creates a graphic interplay of solids and voids, revealing the colored material as if suspended. The whole evokes modernist Italian design, where geometric rigor and material sensuality coexist harmoniously.

Very good overall condition. The glass is intact, with no chips or cracks. The pewter shows a natural patina with slight traces of use consistent with its age, contributing to its character.

It measures 20.5 cm in height and 8 cm in width, offering a compact and elegant silhouette.

A refined piece, ideal as a soliflore or simply displayed alone, like a discreet sculpture in a contemporary interior.
