In the 1970s, Italian design played with transparency and layering effects, mixing Plexiglas and metal to create objects that were both functional and decorative. This "Pyramid" trinket tray perfectly illustrates this search for balance between geometric rigor and material sophistication.
Made of thick Plexiglas, sloped on the sides to form a pyramidal silhouette, it is enhanced with a removable circular golden brass insert. This contrast between the transparency of the support and the warmth of the metal is characteristic of Italian productions of this period, often intended for modern and elegant interiors.
Very good overall condition. The Plexiglas is clear and bright, with slight micro-scratches from use visible upon close examination. The brass has a soft and uniform patina, testifying to its age without altering its luster.
With its 20 cm width and 3 cm height, it offers a generous format while remaining discreet.
A typical decorative piece from the 70s, ideal on a coffee table, desk or console, to elegantly accommodate everyday objects.
